Kazi Hoq was the first player we picked up over the winter. Kazi is an inventive and very technical batsman who also has the ability to end the innings in a kami-'Kazi' fashion. He is also a very useful spinner who I am sure will supply the club with some excellent overs throughout the season. He joins the club as not only an integral player but as a coach as well. Therefore he will be helping down on Friday's with colts so make sure to look out for him and welcome him to the club.

Shaikh Rahman is a destructive middle order batsman who I am sure will live up to his 'big hitter' title over the coming season. Shaikh is an excellent cricketer and will supply the club with not only runs this season but excellence in the field. Let's hope this Saturday he can start of the season well and 'Shaikh' up the opposition bowlers.

Sheldon Greenland is a tall and quick opening bowler. Due to his height, he has the ability to get steep bounce off the surface but can also move the ball off the seam when it's pitched up. Sheldon can hold his own with the bat and can hit a long ball in the latter overs. Sheldon is a talented individual who can model, act and DJ. So lets hope he can play the role of Michael Holding this season and conduct some 'Model' performances.

Neil Sheffield is a left arm seam bowler who can constantly put the ball in good areas. Although he has had a few years out of the game, he can still get it through at a decent rate of knots. Neil is also a patient batsman and can frustrate opposition with his ability to manipulate the field. We hope his performances this season will make us 'K-Neil' down before him.

Andy Rimmer joins the club as one of our county level representatives. He has represented Sussex over 50's but since his move to the Hertfordshire league with OE's has now been selected to play for Herts this season. Andy is a top order batsman who displays excellent technique and impeccable timing. When not dispatching the ball to the boundary Andy is a vicar, so hopefully this season he can find the right balance between them both and 'vow' to score many runs for OE's this season.

Umair Tahir is another addition from this winters transfer window. Umair is a right arm medium pace bowler who can move the ball in the air and off the pitch. Umair has travelled the country playing cricket, taking wickets from Birmingham to Essex and we hope he will do the same for us. He'll be making opposition batsman hit the ball up in the Um-Air and pick up vital scalps during this upcoming season.

Finally, Andy Vernon rejoins the club after a year apart. Andy bats with an excellent temperament and has a great ability to put the bad ball away. Andy also has a wealth of experience in the game and will be a great aid to the club for the colts coming up through the ranks. He has an excellent pair of hands and is especially H-Andy in the gully.

Let's welcome all these talented cricketers to Barnet's home of cricket and hope that they can help add to the ability that we already have at the club and contribute to more promotions this year. COME ON YOU EEE'S.
