New Website, New Features

If you haven't signed up already, what are you waiting for?

Most of you will know that we have just launched our new website and it comes with a range of new features which we are hoping are going to improve the communication and togetherness of the club.

Below I am going to go through the main features which will benefit all our members.

Pitchero App
You’ll be able to download this app and use it to view fixtures, news, list your or your child’s availability, view upcoming events and message all club members.

Availability
It is the bane of all captains and team managers remembering when players are and aren’t available. With the new website, there is a feature where all players can list there availability for all matches with the simple click of a button, this can also be achieved through the app by simply clicking on a given fixture.

Member Communication
In messages you can search for a member just by their name to send them a message, we hope that with this and the new officials page, everyone will be able to communicate and get to know all our members.

Player Statistics
This season we will move to hosting all our player records on this site, this will allow for scorecards, player statistics and results to be found all in one place, a huge step forward for colts cricket.

Calendar
If you head over to the calendar page, you can subscribe to our calendar and all the events organised by the club will automatically download to your chosen application (ie outlook, smartphone etc).

A few questions that have already been raised at colts this week were over privacy. All players will have a profile on the website, but all colts profiles linked to one of our junior teams are automatically private and cannot be seen by anyone not registered on the site.

I was also asked about medical conditions, telephone numbers and email addresses. Medical conditions are private and only display to team admins/managers/coaches. As for mobile numbers and email addresses, these are not displayed to non-members by default and you can choose to make them private from other members as well, again only team admins, coaches and managers will be able to access these.

The website will make use of notifications through the app and emails, you can tailor these by adjusting the settings in your profile.

If you signup to the website, you will need to wait for your account to be authorised before you gain access, this will normally happen within 24 hours. If you are a parent and your child is not listed on the website, then please add them.

Finally, when you do signup, don't forget to apply for the right role (parent, player, coach etc).

These are early days and we are just beginning to embrace the full capability of the new website, as new features become available, we will let you know all about them.
