1. About our Junior Section

We are very proud of our junior section, which caters for girls and boys from the age of 6 to 17 and last year we had around 150 registered juniors.

During the winter our training takes place on Thursday evenings at Totteridge Academy in Barnet, starting 25th January and ending 21st March 2024. Our junior cricketers are divided into two ability groups, training 7-8pm and 8-9pm.

In the summer our girls train on Tuesdays, 5.30 -6.30pm and our main training sessions (open to boys and girls) run on Friday nights at our club between 6.30-8.00pm. Outdoor training usually begins at the end of April so be sure to keep an eye on our calendar to see when they start.

All our training sessions are led by club members who have ECB coaching and support qualifications. They provide expert coaching to the youngsters, backed up by coaching assistants. All the groups are divided depending on their ability. All coaches and assistants are DBS checked and James Heavey our Club Welfare Officer is available.

Junior matches are played on weekday evenings (6pm) and Sunday mornings (10am). Teams for U11, U13, U15 and U17 of Boys plus U12 Girls play Middlesex league and cup cricket every year.

Over recent years we have continually had Old Elizabethans representation in Borough, Regional and County Age Group squads. We are extremely proud that many of them progress, some as young as 13, to our adult teams at the weekend.

We are a family club which is evident every Friday evening following the evening training sessions with our BBQs and bar; it's a great way to end your working week leading into the weekend.
