OECC Barnet U15A v Enfield U15

This was so different to the equivalent fixture from last season. Not only was this a comfortable win, but there was so much that was positive about the performance. The boys' attitude was excellent; they fielded well and played as a team.

Captain James won the toss and chose to bat. In their twenty overs, OEs bashed out 188 runs, including 25 fours and two sixes, for the loss of three wickets. In reply, Enfield only managed 77 in their twenty overs, for six wickets. Not much else to say really so lets allow a selection of statistics give you an idea of how well the boys did this evening:

All five who batted had a strike rate of over 100%.
Zain hit 43 off just 20 balls, including seven fours and a six.
Opener George finished on an unbeaten 63.
On the bowling front, James bowled four, three of them maidens, and gave away just four runs for two wickets.
Sami's superb caught & bowled in the ninth over was a perfect example of the determination the boys brought to the game.

None of the boys were spectators today. They all made a contribution and this performance bodes well for what's ahead. Well done.
