Colts 1 of 2

1. About our Colts

We are very proud of our colts' section, which caters for girls and boys from the age of 6 to 17 and last year we had around 135 registered colts.

During the winter our training takes place on Wednesday evenings at Ashmole Academy in Southgate. Colts are divided into two ability groups, training 7-8pm and 8-9pm.

In the summer we train on Friday nights at out cricket club. Outdoor training usually begins at the end of April so be sure to keep an eye on our calendar to see when they start.

All our training sessions are led by club members who have ECB coaching and support qualifications. They provide expert coaching to the colts, backed up by coaching assistants. All the groups are divided depending on their ability. All coaches and assistants are DBS checked and our Child Welfare Officer is available.

Matches for the U10s are played on Sunday mornings with the rest of the teams playing on various weekday evenings. Teams for U11, U13, U15 and U17 of Boys and Girls play Middlesex league cricket every year.

Over recent years we have continually had Old Elizabethans representation in Borough, Regional and County Colts' squads. We are extremely proud that many of our colts progress, some as young as 13, to our adult teams at the weekend.

Our club is a family club which is evident every Friday evening following the colts sessions with our BBQs and bar, it is a great way to end your working week leading into the weekend.
