After an outstanding performance from the three lions the previous day, OE's were hoping to replicate the same achievement and reach the semi final of the Herts Trophy. In their way, Watford Town, a side one division above them on Saturdays and fierce competition in what was bound to be a game that went right to the wire.

Regular captain Saqi was away so it was left to Nav to take over and the team were hoping he ROSE to the occasion and won the toss. Unfortunately Nav did not call WEL-BECK and we were asked to field in what looked to be DIER condtions.

Anish and Buzzer were asked to open the bowling and they were hoping not to TRIPP-IER at the first hurdle. Both bowled well but could not get a breakthrough and it was left to Holland to take the first wicket. Running up the CA-HILL he got one to cannon of bat and both pads before bundling into the stumps, a STERLING delivery to say the least. The pressure continued to build as Dutch bowled in tandem with Kazi who skittled the other opener after he produced a RASH-FORD shot across the line. Holland then took his second as the number 3 was deceived by a slower ball as he aimed to LOFT-US one over Dutchy's head, the CHEEK of it he thought as he grabbed on to take the return catch. The game then began to swing back into Watford Town's favour as they recovered well to 98-3. Mitru took his PICK-FORD of the bowlers having a particular POP-E at the spinners and scoring freely. This was until YOUNG Gomesy was introduced and cleaned the number 4 up with a delivery that nipped back. Watford Town then began took let their LIN-GARD down and wickets began to fall with ease. 99-3 soon became 122-7 and we thought we were on our way to a VARDY party. Some lower order hitting from Hobbs got the oppo up to 169-8 before Hass took a Tobey MAGUIRE-esque catch using his Spiderman reflexes to grab onto one at short mid-wicket and Nish got one to BUT-LAND on the right spot and clean up their number 11, meaning we needed 172 to advance onto the semi's.

Jimmy and Vish opened up and needed some STONES to preserve their wickets on a pitch that had torn up from the first ball of the game. The two took us to 34-0 before Vish got yet another LBW against him and needed to show some DELPH-control to stop himself from losing his mind. Gomesy came to the crease and was destructive from the off showing his Muhammed ALLI like power as he dispatched the ball to the fence with ease. After he fell, the dependable partenship of Kazi and Jimmy took place and they soon began to KANE the ball all around the park. As Jimmy supassed his 50 the boys in the pavilion compared the innings to that of a young Russell ALEXANDER-ARNOLD innings as he offered little to no chances to the oppo. With only 37 runs needed for victory it seemed as if we were WALKER-ing to victory. However, it would not be a OE's victory with some sort of collapse as we fell from 135-2 to 149-5 leaving the boys in a mood that can only been summed up as a classic Phil JONES gurn. It was left to Busby in partneship with Hass to see the boys home and show AG why he is infact his favourite HENDER-SON.

The boys were ecstatic after the game and had hope they could replicate the feat they had done years earlier away at Botany Bay. As we departed the ground there was one thought on our mind. Is it coming home?
