Losing the toss seemed to be a stroke of luck as OEs soon had Hemel in trouble at 33-3 after Hemel chose to bat first. Skipper Luke Sicheri-peel (0-8 off 5) kept things tight allowing Brad Richardson to reap the rewards with 3-33. First change bowlers Adam Hall (2-15) and Ben Clarke (3-25) never allowed the batsmen to settle. Hall continuing where Sicheri-Peel left off from the top end with 16 dots in a row in the lead up to his first wicket. Some really sharp work from Charlee Eve-Raw from behind the stumps picking up two catches whilst standing up to Clark to start his day off well.
The green deck didn’t put Paul Lissowski off as he spun his way into the wickets with the final two ending with 2-13. Every wicket either bowled, LBW, or caught by keeper Charlee Eve-Raw. Which is credit to the tight and accurate bowling. Hemel being bowled out for 97 in the 32nd over. An all round excellent display of energy in the field coupled the bowling.
Hemel started well as with both openers falling early and the wickets continued to tumble. At 21-4 and Hemel bowling well the game was in balance but a match winning partnership between the two keepers Charlee Eve-Raw and Henry Jonscher and together they saw off the good balls and punished anything loose to build a match winning partnership of 77 stabilised the innings. Both showing composure and grit to blunt the Hemel attack. Jonscher eventually falling just a few runs shy of victory for a well made 18 from 53. A nudged single from Skipper Sicheri-Peel brought Eve-Raw on strike, he finished the game in style with a flick for 4 to win the game and bring up his half century with 51 from 49.
A great result against a previously unbeaten team and OEs now sit second behind Aldenham.
Player of the Match: Charlee Eve-Raw with some great work behind the stumps and a match winning knock of 51* (49). #comeonyoueees
